Cardamom award was instituted by the Spices Board to recognize and encourage growers who have achieved outstanding productivity in cardamom. The award consists of one first prize and two second prizes. The first prize carries a cash award of Rs.25,000/-, a citation and a certificate. Each second prize carries a cash award of Rs.15,000/-, a citation and certificate. The winners of the Cardamom Award 2001 were selected based on the nominations received and verified in 2001-02. In 2001-02 the Board included two more second prizes and one third prize. Third prize carries a cash award of Rs.10,000/- a citation an certificate. |
